Exponential - Type Compromised Imputation in Survey Sampling

چکیده
To deal with the problems of non response, one parameter classes of imputation techniques have been suggested and their corresponding point estimators have been proposed. The proposed estimator is more efficient than several other estimators. A design based approach is used to compare the proposed strategy with existing strategies. Theoretical results have been verified through empirical studies handling real data set examples.

Cogitation of Incompleteness in the midst of Imputation in Longitudinal Surveys for Population Mean
Encountering non-response is quite prone in sample surveys however smart be the design, which sours the analysis and hence the results. An effort has been made to exploit the non-response by using a completely fresh approach of imputation technique to estimate the population mean in two occasion successive sampling, utilizing completely known auxiliary information which is dynamic in nature and...
متن کاملA New Exponential Type Estimator for the Population Mean in Simple Random Sampling
In this paper, a new estimate of exponential type of auxiliary information to help simple random sampling without replacement of the finite population mean is introduced. This new estimator with a few other estimates using two real data sets are compared with the mean square error.
متن کاملVariance Estimation for Imputed Survey Data with Non-negligible Sampling Fractions
We consider variance estimation for Horvitz-Thompson type estimated totals based on survey data with imputed nonrespondents and with non-negligible sampling fractions. A method based on a variance decomposition is proposed. Our method can be applied to complicated situations where a composite of some deterministic and/or random imputation methods is used, including using imputed data to impute....
متن کاملNeural Network Imputation in Complex Survey Design
Missing data yields many analysis challenges. In case of complex survey design, in addition to dealing with missing data, researchers need to account for the sampling design to achieve useful inferences. Methods for incorporating sampling weights in neural network imputation were investigated to account for complex survey designs. An estimate of variance to account for the imputation uncertaint...
متن کاملSome Imputation Methods in Double Sampling Scheme for Estimation of Population Mean
To estimate the population mean with imputation, i.e. the technique of substituting missing data, there are a number of techniques available in literature like Ratio method of imputation, Compromised method of imputation, Mean method of imputation, Ahmed’s methods of imputation, F-T methods of imputation and so on. If population mean of auxiliary information is unknown then these methods are no...
